Christian Ludwig
Conductor and Music Manager
As a trained violinist and conductor, Christian Ludwig performs on numerous stages around the world.
He has served as principal conductor of the Cologne Chamber Orchestra and the South Korean Gwangju Symphony Orchestra, among others, regularly performing at the Kölner Philharmonie, the Munich Prinzregententheater, and the Paris Théâtre des Champs-Élysées.

He serves as the artistic director and representative of a German family foundation and directs the concert series "Erftkreiszyklus" in castles and palaces and "Edle Klänge".
Conductor
Christian Ludwig served as conductor and artistic director of the Cologne Chamber Orchestra from 2008-2011 and chief conductor of the Gwangju Symphony Orchestra in South Korea from 2011-2013.
He has conducted at the Kölner Philharmonie, the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris, the Prinzregententheater in Munich, the Philharmonie Essen, the Konzerthaus Dortmund and the Tonhalle Düsseldorf.
As an opera conductor, Christian Ludwig has conducted Puccini's Turandot, Verdi's Troubadour and Un ballo in Maschera , Rossini's Barber of Seville, Mozart's Cosi fan tutte and Don Giovanni at opera houses such as the Nuremberg and Karlsruhe State Theatres and the National Opera House of Korea.
His CDs with works by Robert Fuchs, released on the Naxos International label with the Cologne Chamber Orchestra, were awarded the "Choc de Classica".
In 2017 he was awarded "Associate of the Royal Academy of Music in London".
Christian Ludwig conducts the orchestra of the state government in Dusseldorf, Orchester der Landesregierung Düsseldorf.
In addition, he is passionate about presenting concerts.
Music Manager
As a music manager, Christian Ludwig looks after patrons who, as owners, make their high-quality historical string instruments available on loan to outstanding musical talents.
As artistic director and representative of a German family foundation, his focus is on the development and realisation of philanthropic projects as well as the promotion of musical talents.
Christian Ludwig directs the concert series "Erftkreiszyklus" and "Edle Klänge".
